NET10PHONES.NET

Finally there is a reasonable alternative to having to pay about $40 per month for your cell phone basic fee. Net10 has a low monthly charge of fifeen dollars - plus No Contract! Net10 also has a large variety of grealty reduced Cell phones, starting $19.99. To see Net10phones, click HERE .

The big boys in this arena; AT&T, Verizon, Blackberry all have similar mobile phone plans that cost the customer a basic monthly fee of about $40 – which includes a varying number of air time, and then charge other sums for minutes at different times and with certain rate structures (see table below).

But now you can also find pay as you go plans like the one Net10 has. There is also a monthly fee, but in the example of Net10, it begins at $15/month which is for 2.5 hours of call time. So that works out at a per minute charge of 10c – and that is the cost no matter how many minutes you end up using.

Now 2.5 hours a month is not very many- just about 5 minutes a day – but you can add on minutes either via the internet, by calling a tollfree number or at many of large retail stores like Walmart, Target and Kmart. For details of all locations, click on one of the links in the first paragraph.

To keep any account active, you must get a minimum of $15/month (150 mins). If, for some reason, you do not use the minimum amount of time, any unused minutes willroll over, so you don’t lose any.

Service is all all over the US, with a few small exceptions- like rural Alaska – just like every Cell phone plan.

Any questions with a mobile or the service can be answered anytime, either via the Internet or by calling their toll free number.

Mobile Directory Crashes on Its First Day

Saturday, July 4th, 2009

The hugely hyped and worried about 118 800 failed to deliver as its service could not perform on the first day. Due to technical difficulties people could not be put through to the mobile numbers that they were trying to reach.

The service which has already stirred up a lot of anger and campaigners are once again complaining. The company are said to hold around 16 million numbers in the database which have been bought from list brokers who in turn buy personal details from market research firms and online stores.

I can guarantee you that at least 60% of these people will not even know that they are on the directory. If this does catch on then I can guarantee that people are going to change their numbers and not give it out to anyone.

People already get so many cold calls and spam numbers ringing them without being on a directory, I can personally see the increase in spam calls going through the roof.

The new service could probably even affect service providers, as customers in some ways insist that the numbers have been passed on by the actual network provider themselves, so what folk will begin to do is leave their current network provider and switch over to a new one.

Who knows how long the system may last, but to be honest we could end up seeing it collapse after a few weeks, as we all know what occurs when the public become unhappy with a service. We already have various different MPs and campaigners that are literally trying to get the service closed down.
